Mining
You use the Mining tab to define resources and assign them to your pits and stockpiles. The Mining tab for a Surface or Surface and Underground scenario is the same as the Stockpiles tab for an Underground scenario.
The Mining tab contains the Resources pane, the 2D Canvas, the Production rates data grid, Resource capacities data grid, and the Location constraints data grid.
The Resources pane lists the resources that are defined. The 2D Canvas displays the locations for the scenario.
The data grids are located in the pane on the right of the tab. You switch between the data grids using the Production rates, Resource capacities, and Location constraints tabs at the bottom of the pane. When you select a location in the 2D Canvas the rows in the grids that relate to the location are highlighted.
You can use the data grids in the Mining tab to perform a number of tasks. To create a schedule, the only mandatory tasks are to define at least one resource, specify its capacity, and assign it to the production location.
